Dixon Academy Infant ProgramAges 0-12 Months

The infant program emphasizes a safe nurturing environment, introducing our babies to healthy social and emotional interaction, language, body awareness and motor control.

PARTNERING WITH FAMILIES

At Dixon Academy, we believe families are a child’s first and most important teachers. Building strong partnerships with parents begins the moment a child enters our Infant Program.

To ensure families stay connected to their child’s development, we host Parent-Teacher Conferences twice each year. During these conferences, teachers share observations about each infant’s developmental milestones, social-emotional growth, and early learning experiences. Families also have the opportunity to ask questions and collaborate with teachers to support their child’s development both at school and at home.

In addition, Dixon Academy hosts an Annual Open House, where families can visit classrooms, meet teachers, learn about our curriculum, and celebrate the learning community we are building together.

BUILDING THE FOUNDATION FOR KINDERGARTEN READINESS

Even in the earliest months of life, children are developing the foundational skills that will support their future success in school. Through nurturing relationships, responsive caregiving, and intentional learning experiences, our educators begin building the essential skills that support language development, social-emotional security, and early cognitive growth.

At Dixon Academy, we believe kindergarten readiness begins at infancy, and every interaction helps lay the foundation for lifelong learning.
