Dixon Academy Early Head Start Program Ages 0 - 3
Dixon Academy is proud to operate a high-quality Early Head Start Program in partnership with Child Care Resources Inc. of Mecklenburg County, providing comprehensive early childhood education and family support services for children from birth to age three. Using The Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers & Twos, our program promotes whole-child development in a warm, responsive, and inclusive environment.
FAMILY ENGAGEMENT & SUPPORT
Family partnership is a cornerstone of the Early Head Start Program at Dixon Academy. We work closely with families to ensure children receive the support they need to grow and thrive.
Families participate in Parent-Teacher Conferences twice each year, where teachers share developmental updates and collaborate with families to support each child’s growth. These meetings provide valuable opportunities for open communication and partnership.
Families are also invited to attend our Annual Open House, where they can learn more about our program, connect with educators, and celebrate the learning experiences happening within our classrooms.

Early Head Start focuses on supporting children’s development during their earliest years, when brain development occurs most rapidly. Through nurturing relationships and intentional learning experiences, children develop essential skills that support healthy growth and school readiness.
