Dixon Academy Preschool Program Ages 3 - 4
The preschool curriculum and learning centers are based on the Creative Curriculum for Preschoolers. Through developmentally appropriate activities which encompass the skills and experiences needed for optimum development and personal success. These learning centers emphasize the building of curiosity, confidence, and independence all while supporting and promoting the continuation of each child accomplishing their individual developmental milestones
PARTNERING WITH FAMILIES FOR SUCCESS
In our Preschool Program, family engagement plays a critical role in supporting each child’s development. Dixon Academy hosts Parent-Teacher Conferences twice each year, allowing teachers and families to discuss each child’s progress, strengths, and developmental goals.
During these conferences, teachers share insights into children’s learning experiences, including early literacy development, social skills, and cognitive growth.
Families are also invited to attend our Annual Open House, where they can meet educators, explore the classroom environment, and learn more about how we support preschool learning and development.
STRENGTENING SCHOOL READINESS SKILLS
Preschool is an important stage where children begin developing the academic and social skills that prepare them for Pre-K and kindergarten. Through engaging learning experiences and intentional teaching, our educators help children build confidence, curiosity, and independence.
At Dixon Academy, our goal is to ensure every child develops the skills necessary for success because kindergarten readiness begins early and grows with every learning experience.
