Dixon Academy NC Pre - K Program 4 - 5 Years
The NC Pre-K Program is designed to provide high-quality educational experiences to enhance school readiness for eligible four-year-old children. The NC Pre-K Program Requirements are built on the National Education Goals Panel’s premise, that to be successful academically in school, children need to be prepared in all five of the developmental domains that are critical to children’s overall well-being and success in reading and math as they enter school
FAMILY COLLABORATION & COMMUNICATION
Dixon Academy believes that strong communication between families and educators is essential for supporting children’s success. In our NC Pre-K Program, families participate in Parent-Teacher Conferences twice each year to review their child’s developmental progress and kindergarten readiness skills.
Teachers share information about each child’s growth in areas such as literacy, mathematics, social development, and problem-solving. These conferences help ensure that families remain active partners in their child’s learning journey.
Families are also invited to attend our Annual Open House, which provides an opportunity to meet teachers, explore the classroom environment, and learn more about our Pre-K program.
PREPARING SCHOLARS FOR KINDERGARTEN
Our NC Pre-K classrooms are intentionally designed to strengthen the academic, social, and emotional skills children need to succeed in kindergarten. Through engaging instruction and meaningful learning experiences, children build confidence as learners and develop the skills necessary for a successful transition to elementary school.
At Dixon Academy, we remain committed to our mission that kindergarten readiness begins early and continues to grow throughout every stage of early childhood education.
